Eva completed her midwifery degree at Frontier Nursing University, where she graduated with honors. Before becoming a midwife, Eva worked as a registered nurse in a Medical Intensive Care Unit as well as Labor and Delivery. Eva was a Certified Nurse Midwife with the Stony Brook Midwives in New York for six years before she and her family relocated to New Mexico. Eva’s academic background also includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Eva strives to provide compassionate and family-centered care and looks forward to supporting the women of her community.
Elissa Barfoot, CNM, FNP
Elissa is a graduate of the Vanderbilt School of Nursing. She is an American Midwifery Certification Board Certified Nurse Midwife and a Certified Nurse Midwife with the US Navy Reserve. In addition, she is part of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, the Georgetown CNM Preceptor and the Walden University FNP Preceptor.
Elizabeth Nordquist, NP
Elizabeth, a certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, is native to Las Cruces. She is an advanced practioner with experience in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology, and urology. She has an extensive background in women’s health and was a registered nurse in labor and delivery for 17 years prior to becoming an advanced practitioner. In 2012, she graduated from NMSU with a master’s degree in nursing administration, and in December 2016, completed a post-master’s certificate from the University of Colorado as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Throughout her career, she has gained many valuable experiences, while providing care for women of diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in Southern California, New Mexico, and Colorado.
Jessica Soucy earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from New Mexico State University and her Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso. She specializes in gynecology, women’s health, birth control and family medicine. Overall, Soucy brings an array of skills to the clinic and said she looks forward to improving the quality of her patients’ lives. “My philosophy is to provide safe, holistic, patient-centered care and to allow the patient to be involved in the decision making when it comes to their health,” she said.
