A native of Las Cruces, Brooks began her career as a nurse in 1992 and said she chose to pursue an education in family practice as a nurse practitioner to provide care for the families in her home state. Her role as a Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner allows her to give back to the community that is very near to her heart.
“We are very fortunate here in Las Cruces due to the sense of community. People here are kind and receptive to one another,” she said. “I am a native of Las Cruces and have met and made great connections within the medical arena. I feel like I am a part of the health care team in Southern New Mexico.”
Brooks earned her Bachelor’s in Nursing from New Mexico State University, her Master’s in Nursing from Regis University in Denver, CO, and received her Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
