Karla Felts, RN
Bariatric Program Director

As the Bariatric Director, I love my job and working with our bariatric patients.   I have worked in this field for over 11 years.   I was honored to help design the processes and assist in building the first bariatric lap-band out-patient surgery center in Texas.   That became the model for many more bariatric lap-band out-patient surgery centers nationally.

Today I work with the Clinical team at Dr. Felts‘ office to set up processes to streamline our patient‘s experience while moving toward their desired surgery.   My assistant, Dar Kopp, and I work with the hospital in making sure we have a trained hospital staff as well as the latest equipment and processes in place to make sure our patients have a safe surgery.   I take pride in making sure the patients and their family members have a comfortable stay and experience at Memorial Medical Center.   I look forward to working with all our patients as they move forward in their weight loss and wellness journey.
