Mai Oushy, MD

Dr. Mai Oushy is a board-certified family medicine physician. She was raised in Las Cruces and is a proud LCHS Bulldawg and NMSU Aggie. She received her medical degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. She completed her family medicine residency in our community at the Southern New Mexico Family Medicine Residency Program (SNMFMRP), where she served as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Oushy is passionate about primary care and preventative health. She also holds a masters degree in public health from New Mexico State University, with a focus on health education. She was the recipient of the 2018 Golden Stethoscope Award for "outstanding resident teacher" during residency training. Her passion for teaching has led her to continue with the SNMFMRP as an attending faculty. She is excited to practice medicine in her hometown and give back to her community. Her philosophy and mission are highly influenced by her medical training at the SNMFMRP, with an emphasis on empowering patients to improve all aspects of their health through education and mutual collaboration. Outside of work, Dr. Oushy enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
